PEP3 UNIT 6 MEET MY FAMILY (b)teaching plan
Teaching Aims:
1Can listen say and read the words: farmer, baseball player, driver, nurse and doctor
2Grasp the sentences "What's your father?" "He's a doctor?" and use them to talk about jobs.
3Set students' job ideal and make them to be confident to work hard to make their job ideals true.
Importence:to grasp the new words
Difficulties:use the words and sentences freely
Tools:some pictures of the job, a tape recorder, some head ornaments and a CAI
Teaching steps:
to make students put on the head ornaments and be different jobs in the class
A. warming up
    daily greetings: Good morning. Nice to meet you! How are you? Let's play!
B. leading in
   T: please tell me what your favourite job is.
Ss: .....
T: In my family, there are many different jobs. Let me show you. (show a picture of my family)
      This is my brother, he is a student. This is my sister, she is a teacher. .... But one day, something happened in my family. Do you want to know what happened? OK, let's go and see. (write the items)
C. presentation and practice
1. learn the words
(1) farmer
show a picture of a farmer. "This is my grandpa. He works on the farm. (write farm, head to read)
then add 'er' after tell the students that we can use this method to make it to be a noun.
a. head students to read the word.
b. translate and read
c. say sentences "XXX is a farmer
(2)baseball player
a.teach "baseball"
write ball, play a video of football game and pingpong ball game
T: This is my uncle, he is tall, he likes sports. He likes to play ball game. He likes football and pingpong ball , but his favourite ball is baseball. (head them to read)
b. teach "player"
write play, students try to change it into a noun. head to read
c. "baseball player
d. find the baseball player in their class
e. children song (农民farmer生了病,baseball playeer受了伤)
(3) driver
a. teach drive
b. change drive into a noun.
c. read driver in different way.
d. write it in the air
e. find the drivers in the class
f. children song: driver驾车往医院跑
(4)nurse
a. spell the word and write
b. read in different way
c. find the nurses in the class
e. children song :护士nurse来帮忙
(5)doctor
a. head to readb. write one on the front student's back
c. find the doctors in their class
e. children song: 看见了doctor把心放
2. practise the words
(1) read the children song
(2) read the word in groups
the teacher say "Hello, farmers!" Then the students with the head ornament of farmer stand and read the word three times.
(3) say the words hurrily
show some different picture of jobs , student stand up and say the jobs as soon as they see the picture, teacher should give an apple to the right ones
3. learn the sentence
T: just we have learnt the words, now look at me "what am I"
Ss: teacher
T:OK, you're right, Tell me "What are you?"
Ss:...
Then teacher teach the sentences "What's your father? He is a doctor. He's tall. He likes sports"
4. practise the sentences
(1) head them to read the sentences
(2)change the sentences into "What's your mother? She is a nurse. She's short. She likes music." and head the students to read.
(3)do ask and answer with the students.
D. product
play a game of "Miss Du's Interview"
T: Now you have learnt the words and sentences. I want to attend the TV show of "挑战主持人" But I think I should practise first, so I need your help. Do you want to help me?
Ss: Yes!
T: Thank you. Please wait me a moment, I'll dress my self up
(to take a microphone, and walk into the classroom)
(1)greet the student and ask several students about their or their family member's job.
(2) call some students to act like the host, and interview the classmates
E. summary
(1) go over the words
(2) do the part of "Let's do"
(3)T:同学们都有自己喜欢的职业,我觉得不管是doctor, nurse 还是baseball player, farmer 还是driver, worker, teacher. 都是人类最光辉的职业,都能帮助我们实现人生的价值,但是,要想实现自己的职业理想,成为那个行业的行家里手,从现在开始,我们必须“好好学习,天天向上 ”。让我们一起为我们自己加油吧!
Students stand up wave their arms and say "Good good study, day day up!" two times
F. Declare that class is over.
