Unit 9 What’s the matter?(第一教时)

教学目标:

1.       能听懂、会说、会读和会拼写单词hot ,cold ,ill ,tired ,hungry ,thirsty.

2.       能听得懂、会说和会读日常交际用语Why don’t you ?

3.       听得懂、会说、会读和会写句子What’s the matter? I’m Here’s a…for you.

教学重点、难点:

1. 听得懂、会说、会读和会写句子What’s the matter? I’m Here’s a…for you.

2. 能听懂、会说、会读和会拼写单词hot , cold , ill , tired , hungry , thirsty.

教具准备

课件、卡片、磁带、录音机等。

教学过程

Step 1 Sing a song

Go to school

   Step 2  A guessing game

T: Look at the picture. Let’s play a guessing game.

1.T:What’s this in English?

S: It’s a jacket.

( fan, chair, hamburger, a glass of water, sweater , apples, oranges, socks…)

2.T:Now guess, please. What’s in my hand?

S: It’s / They’re…

T: Here’s a … for you.(将图片奖给猜中者)

  Here are some… for you.

S: Thank you.

T: Not at all.

Step 3 Presentation

1. Today we’ll learn “Unit 9 ”: What’s the matter? ( sentence card )

2.T: Look! What’s this? It’s winter. I’m cold. Are you cold?

S: ……

1)I’m cold. ( read and spell )

card: old, cold

2)Cold, cold, cold, I’m cold. ( read and act )

3) I’m cold. I need a…(课件:jacket, coat, sweater, scarf, socks, gloves)

So you can say_____

   4) S: Here’s a …for you.

   5)Look at the pictures, ask and answer in pairs.

What’s the matter? I’m ___. ( sentence card )

Here’s a … for you. Thank you. Not at all.

3.1)T: I’m cold. Are you cold? Now, stand up, please. Let’s play.

 ( play baseball, play basketball, play football, play volleyball )

2)T: Are you cold? I’m not cold. I’m hot.

card: not, hot

Learn the word: hot  ( read and spell )

3)Hot, hot, hot, I’m hot.

4)T: I’m hot.

S: Here’s a fan for you. (课件图:fan, a glass of water, ice-cream)

4.1)T: I’m hot. I like to eat many ice-creams. Look! How many ice-creams?

 Let’s count. What’s ten and ten? What’s twenty and ten?

S: Thirty.

T: Can you spell it?

2)Look! What’s the matter? (课件)

 thirsty ( read and spell , card: thirty and thirsty)

3)Thirsty, thirsty, thirsty, I’m thirsty.

4)Here’s … for you.

( 课件图:coffee, juice, coca cola, milk, some fruit)

1)T: I like apples. I like oranges, too. Look! How many oranges?

Let me tell you. Ninety-nine. What’s 99 and 1?

It’s one hundred. ( spell: hundred )

2)card: hundred, hungry

3)Look! The boy is very hungry. Learn the word: hungry

4)Hungry, hungry, hungry, I’m hungry.

6.Read the four words again and again.

3)Why don’t you see a doctor? ( take some medicine, go to the hospital)

Step 4 Practise

1.       Listen and read “ Part B ”

2.       ( oral work: 课件) What’s the matter? I’m ______ .

3.       Look , write and spell. (课件)

What’s the matter? I’m ______ . (hot, cold, thirsty…)

4. Ask and answer according to the pictures of “ Part B ”.

What’s the matter with him/her? He’s/She’s…

5.1)The match girl ( picture)

 T: What’s the matter with the match girl?

 S: She’s…( ill, cold, tired, thirsty, hungry)

 2)T: Let’s help her. Are you ___ ?

Step 5 Learn the text

1. Listen and judge. (课件)

2. listen and read “ Part A ”(机动)

3.A game(机动)

T: Hold a picture

Ss: Here’s a … for you. What’s the matter?

A boy and a girl: … ( guess the right word )

Step 6 Homework .

1.Listen and read “Part A ”and “Part B ”.

2.Copy the new words.
